Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption Program Application

Dear Potential Adopter:

There is a non-refundable $10 processing fee per application. You can pay with cash, check or Paypal.
Please fill out the following form, even if you do not see the horse you would like. This is so we have your application once you do choose a horse, and it makes for a quicker process.
We do not hold horses while applications are being approved. The horse you want may be adopted before your application is approved.
We are committed to finding suitable homes for each horse, as well as a horse suited to your needs. This lessens the potential for disappointment on both ends.
The adoption fee must be paid in full for a horse to be held. The adopter has 7 days to pick up the horse. After 7 days we charge a $12 daily boarding fee.
We can recommend shippers if you need one.

Intended Use for This Horse

You must send pictures of the accommodations the horse will be provided with (Barns, Stalls, and Paddock areas in which the horse will be living in). Your application will not be completed until the pictures are received.

Important: Before submitting this online application please read these terms of adoption, which you must agree to when submitting this application. Your signature will be required on the placement agreement and the application so please download a copy of the placement agreement, and the application, sign it and place it in the mail along with a check for $10 payable to FLTAP.

This online application only serves as your intention to adopt and without a signed application and placement agreement, the adoption process may not continue. Once you submit this online application, you must pay the $10 non-refundable processing fee through Paypal or send in a check with your signed copy of the application and placement agreement.
