ABOUT HORSE ADOPTION

Adopting a horse is easy, but not a thing to be taken lightly. We screen applicants carefully to ensure the adopter has not only the desire to make a retired race horse's lot a better one, but also the financial and logistical resources to provide a stable, loving home for the remainder of the horse's life.

This screening starts with completing an application. The application lets us know exactly how you intend to fulfill the requirements of owning a horse. It also allows us to connect with you and interview you to ensure you know that rehoming a horse without our permission may result in our taking the horse back. This adds to our cost, but we are here solely for the benefit of the horses who stay with us.

Once the application is approved and you pay the adoption fee, the horse is held for you and you can arrange a shipper! Although stringent with respect to eligibility, the process, as mentioned above, is easy! If you have any questions, feel free to go to our contact page to let us know!< /p>
